We have the right to remove and reviews or content posted by others on our media platforms. We do so following a internal enquiry if the information is inflammatory, discriminatory or factually inaccurate. We retain the right to seek out legal advice in cases of defamation and slander.

We advocate that all our service users engage in formal complaints procedure as detailed in our formal quotation document. Please contact us on Hello@b-independent.org if you require an additional copy of our complaints procedure. 

We appreciate the chance to deal with your complaints before you raise your situation or opinions with media platforms and ask you to contact us in the first instance.

We may collect information about you please see our Privacy Policy. This disclaimer is subject to the laws of the United Kingdom. If you want to take court proceedings, you must do so within the United Kingdom. Accessing the website from countries where its contents are illegal or unlawful is prohibited. If you choose to access the website outside of the United Kingdom from elsewhere, you do so on your own risk.

 

Availability of the Website.

We cannot promise that the Website will be fault-free. If a fault occurs please contact us via our contract information. We may limit access occasionally to allow for repairs, maintenance or the introduction of new content. Our website is hosted a website provider and domain provider.

The website may provide content from other internet sites or resources and we will endeavour to ensure that material is correct, reputable and of high quality, it does not make any warranties or guarantees in relation to that content. If we are informed of any inaccuracies in the material on the website we will attempt to correct the inaccuracies as soon as we reasonably can. The below content is related to how we manage your privacy and data across our website, media platforms and online booking platforms. 

 

This privacy policy aims to give you information on how we collect and process your personal data, including any data you may provide to us directly or by completing a a online booking. We do not provide a online  enquiry service to ensure we are not dealing with your detailed person information on excessively multiple platforms. 

 

It is important that you read this privacy policy when we are collecting or processing personal data about you so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data. This privacy policy supplements other notices and privacy policies and is not intended to override them.

 

B-Independent Therapy LTD is the controller and responsible for your personal data (referred to as, “we” or “our” in this privacy policy).

-    Identity Data includes first name, maiden name, last name, username or similar identifier, marital status, title, date of birth, gender, the nature of your relationship to a client, lifestyle and hobbies.

-    Transaction Data includes details about payments to and from you and other details of services you have purchased from us via our booking system of Eventbrite or via BAC’s payment.

-    Technical Data includes internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access our website.

-    Profile Data includes your interests, preferences, feedback and survey responses.

-    Usage Data includes information about how you use our website and services.

-    Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing from us and your communication preferences. It will also include your response to our interactive marketing or your engagement with our marketing and communications and engagement with social media platforms to inform analytics.  

-    We may collect, use and share aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose to inform our marketing strategy. For example, we may aggregate your data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific website feature or specific page. This is not considered personal data in law as this data will not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. However, if we combine or connect aggregated data with your personal/clinical data (information on how we store clinical information detailed in formal quotation terms and conditions) it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as personal data which will be used in accordance with B-Independent Therapy LTD’s privacy policy and managed under GDPR.

 

You may give us your personal data via direct personal email interaction inadvertently sharing sensitive personal data including identity and personally identifiable or contact details when you: 

 

-    Enter into a service agreement with us to purchase our services

-    Agree to meet or speak with one of our team 

-    Make a email referral to us

-    Purchase an event or course with us

-    Provide us with your contact details such as a business card at events that we attend

Your date is received via direct email, not online enquiry, or via direct telephone numbers. All of your personal data will be used in accordance with B-Independent Therapy LTD’s privacy policy and managed under GDPR. 

 

We accept no liability for the loss of postal information you send to us or liability to you if; other users connected with you following an open interface/contact/interactions with us on social media. We accept no liability if they use your publicly facing profile details to seek and accessing publicly accessible information such as other websites, business cards or marketing materials. 

 

Automated technologies or interactions. 

We will automatically collect technical data about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns. We collect this personal data by using cookies, server logs and other similar technologies. Please see our cookie policy.

Third party market research data and analysing online and offline media maybe captured from delegate lists at relevant events, technical data from analytics and providers such as Google based outside the EU, identity and contact data from publicly available sources such as Companies House and the Electoral Register.

 

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to: 

-    We will use your personal data when we need to perform the service contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you (full terms and conditions will be provided) 

-    For our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests. 

-    Where it is essential to protect your vital interests or those of another individual. 

-    To establish, exercise or defend legal claims. 

-    Where we need to comply with a legal obligation.

We will not share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.

 

We require the input of service providers acting as processors and who provide: 

-     IT and system administration services including providers of cloud based technology systems

-    Professional advisers acting as processors or joint controllers including lawyers, bankers, auditors, surveyors, accountants, service agents, distribution suppliers, technical support professionals and insurers based in the UK. 

-    Supporting individuals working for services of Clinko, Wix, Eventbrite, Quickbooks and Microsoft to troubleshoot technical matters. 

-    HM Revenue & Customs

-    Health care regulators

-    HCPC

-    Other health care registration and regulatory bodies other authorities acting as processors or joint controllers based in the United Kingdom. 

 

Third parties may require reporting of processing activities in certain circumstances however in line with GDPR data is managed in a manner to prevent your identity being shared. By using our services you are consenting and by engaging in a service agreement and by using our website or media platforms you agree and are aware of our third parties and are personally responsible for the information you share on media platforms.

Modern Slavery

Our Statement on modern slavery

This Modern Slavery and Transparency in Supply Chains Statement (“Statement”) is made in accordance with section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the “Act”) for the financial year ended 31st December 2023. The Statement is made by B-Independent Therapy  LTD. This Statement is reflective of our practices. This is the fourth Statement made by B-Independent Therapy LTD since the Act came into force. It reports on our efforts, made to prevent and mitigate the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business in line with the requirements of the Act. This statement acknowledges that we are committed to continually improving our practices.

This Statement sets out the steps that we continue to take to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and those we have contact with.

B-Independent Therapy LTD  is a healthcare provider and do not offer a supply chain.

As at 15th September 2024, B-Independent Therapy LTD  had 1 employed member of staff and 2 associates.

All employees and associates undergo pre-contractual due diligence checks.

As part of our due diligence checks on suppliers, we screen all suppliers for politically exposed persons (“PEPs”), sanctions and adverse media reports, as well as previous convictions, both during the initial onboarding process via Enhanced DBS  checks. Our employees and associates are required to accept our values and attend mandatory training annually which covers modern slavery. We believe associates and employees must demonstrate ethical, socially responsible behaviours in all interactions including; Practicing in compliance with the; Bribery Act 2010 and all other legislation relating to anti-corruption, Modern Slavery Act 20, compliance with regulatory requirements, demonstrating ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion; and avoid (or declare) of any conflict of interest. We repeatedly assess the risk modern slavery and human trafficking practices occurring in our business and with any equipment providers, we may recommend. The HCPC and professional bodies give clear guidance on the behaviours and actions we expect and our associates to adhere to, incident reporting and our complaints procedure  enables our associates and service users to report an incident where something has gone wrong and there is a potential risk to our customers and/or the business.

For the period covered by this Statement, we did not identify or receive any reports of modern slavery within our service our with the suppliers we use.  We will discontinue business with any supplier found by the enforcement authorities to be involved in modern slavery.
